JOY is being stuck in traffic because I took one wrong turn.  At least I had Jadon to keep me company and the radio to listen to.

JOY is drawing on the coffee tables.  I followed the suggestion of a friend and painted our tables which were already black with chalkboard paint.  Now the kids can do math, spelling and art on them!

JOY is hanging with great Aunt Denise (Grandmas sister) and Grandma Graham while mom and dad have much needed alone time.

JOY is coming home to find a birthday surprise on your diningroom table left by your sister, learning a new skill with your mother (how to build with cob - straw, sand and water), and spending time at the farmers market with your kids.

JOY is getting into mommy's acrillic (and thankfully non toxic) paints and giving yourself a new hair color, and skin color and clothing color.

JOY is watching nature in your own back yard.  This morning I spotted a male and female duck walking around our back yard.  The kids were hoping they would lay eggs back there so we could have ducklings.

JOY is eating something new for breakfast - in the case this morning, it was a goose egg.  It tasted like chicken eggs.

JOY is family game night.  The kids really got into playing memory and eating their mountain bar treats!

JOY is learning a new skill.  I broke out my home made sun oven because the sun finally came out. I decided it's time I learn to use it.

JOY is having a new experience.  We attended the children's first Shakespeare play The Taming of the Shrew.  It was put on by our home school group, we very much enJOYed attending it.

JOY is sharing blankets and apples with a loved one in the morning.

JOY is riding your bike all around the back yard on a nice day.  Jaren enJOYed doing this till he flew off his bike and landed on his nose.  I heard Jaren scream then ran out back and found he landed on his nose and it was bleeding.  At first I thought it was broken, it was just scraped and bruised.  He received a priesthood blessing, held some ice on it and healed beautifully and quickly!
