October 29th 2010

Friday

I was delighted to go to what is left of my garden today and find our first harvest of corn ready.  We love corn and very much enJOYed eating it for lunch!

Thursday

Finally Jenea went to toastmasters with me tonight.  She's been talking about it for quite some time now but holding out for a food night.  Tonight we dressed up and had lots of junk foods and fun at toastmasters.  I so much enJOYed having that time with Jenea.

Wednesday

The young men and women of our stake put on a Halloween carnival for the primary children.  The kids enJOYed wearing their Halloween costumes and playing the many games available.  Here are Jolie and Jenea fishing.

Tuesday

Jaren enJOYed playing Alaska Monopoly with Unkle David.  For quite a while he was ahead there.  In the end David ended up winning.

Monday

Tonight we enJOYed making jack-o-lanterns for our family home evening.

The first one said "Oh my it's getting late"
The second one said "There are witches in the air"
The third one said "But we don't care"
The fourth one said "Let's run and run and run  The fifth one said "Let's run and run and run" 
Then Woooooooo went the wind 
And out went the lights.  And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

I found a use for Tim.  I wore him when I went to clean up an oil spill on the side of the house.  I'm overJOYed that I found a practical use for him.

This is my garage.  Notice there is no van.  Paul took it up to Washington because his truck is still being worked on.  JOY is having family members willing to help out in a pinch.  I am borrowing my parents sedan.  I sure miss my van.

Grandma Graham was anxious to see us and hear about our trip.  She brought us lunch.  We always enJOY having grandma come for lunch and I especially enJOY not having to come up with something to eat.

Here we are up and dressed at 4:00 am waiting for our coach to take us to the airport for our fleight home.  Notice we are wearing jeans.  Bye bye warm sunshine and hello cold and rain.  We so much enJOYed our vacation and look forward to many more.

Tuesday

One of the most memorable events of our trip is Jadon's reaction every time we rode the shuttle bus which was a frequent occurrence.  We would get on the bus and he would instantly start crying and fighting me to get off of my lap.  We have ridden in boats planes ships trains mono rails and various rides at Disney World and he seemed to enJOY those modes of transportation but for some reason he had a reaction on the bus.

My heart is filled with JOY because today we celebrate my oldest child Jenea's 10th birthday!  She was so excited to celebrate at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom.

We enJOYed spending a quiet relaxing day together at the one of the hotel's many pools today.

Saturday

Today we spent the day at Disney World's Animal Kingdom park.  We enJOYed walking through the jungle seeing pools of sea life riding down rapids and taking a safari in a jeep.  As we were heading out of the Animal Kingdom grandma Tuttle pointed out this frog so of course the kids wanted to climb all over it and get their picture taken with it.

Friday

Today we disembarked the beautiful Monarch of the Seas and took an hour shuttle van to Orlando to spend the next few days at Disney World.  Here we are in the eating area of our hotel The Caribbean Beach Resort.  We enJOYed having each meal prepared for us this vacation and eating together as a family.

Thursday

On the 7th deck there is a walking track that goes around the whole ship.  Grandpa Tuttle introduced this to us.  We had delighted in walking around and around and around.  We especially enJOYed hanging out on the bow where it was very windy to the extent that we had trouble walking strait.  The kids favorite thing to do there was to hang from the rails and blow in the wind.

JOY is staying in a suite and having chocolates and hors Dourves brought to your room each day and sharing with a loved one.

Tuesday

Today we spent time on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.  As we were walking through town the children found this unique bench and wanted their picture taken on it.  JOY is the little things children notice and are excited by.
