Day 20

June 26th, 2010
Saturday

I finally got the foosball table taken apart and removed from the play/school room downstairs. The story with the table is it was given to me and my 3 siblings as a Christmas gift one year long ago. Chris and I had no interest in keeping it, Angie and David wanted it, so they flipped a coin for it. David won and David lived with us for some time, so the table stayed. David moved out now, so I moved the table out (outside). Now the kids have plenty of floor space downstairs till we get a more suitable table that is. Happy, happy, JOY, JOY!

Day 19

June 25th, 2010
Friday

This evening was fantastic! The kids and I went to a farm ran by a few families who amazing! Some of our long time friends were there as well The adults watched the movie FRESH while the kids played on the tree, ran around the farm interacting with the animals and watched a movie in the farm house. We ate food from the farm, baked goods and pea and sunflower sprouts. I'm sure this will be a place we come to often. What a JOYfull feeling resides on this farm.

Day 18

June 24th, 2010
Thursday

My natural baby, eating dirt, and I thought I had "child proofed" this room at least. What great JOY I find in having my child enJOY nature so much that he eats it.

Day 17

June 23rd, 2010
Wednesday

Another kick I've been on lately is making recipes that can be used as food storage. Tonight I made these veggie burgers, they have oatmeal, lentils, onions, and nutritional yeast (among other things) in them. Surprisingly, the kids loved them! What a JOY it is that my children like healthy meals.

Day 16

June 22nd, 2010
Tuesday

School is out and the neighbors came over this afternoon to play in the sprinkler with my kids. The JOY of little children's voices when they are having fun!

Day 15

June 21, 2010
Monday

Ahhhhhhh, the JOY of unrolling the toilet paper, then tearing it up into little pieces and throwing it all over the bathroom.

Day 14

June 20th, 2010
Sunday

I asked the kids to get together so I could take a picture of daddy and his children on Fathers-day. They didn't want to have their picture taken, they did anyway and I'm so glad. My heart is warmed with JOY that my children have such an amazing daddy.

Day 13

June 19th, 2010
Saturday

The kids are all soooooooooo glad when daddy comes home. Lately he's been arriving on Saturday afternoons because of his work schedule. The kids find great JOY in having daddy read them their bedtime stories because daddy reads and reads and reads where as mommy just reads.

Day 12

June 18th, 2010
Saturday

Jadon is sporting his new Spiderman pj's grandma Graham bought him for his birthday. He's discovered that he can walk around the house (and into things) by using his car we got him for Christmas. We find JOY in watching his excitement as he's developing the skill of walking.

Day 11

June 17th, 2010
Thursday

I'm not much of a banana person; my kids sure are. I've been buying lots of them to put in my green smoothies (a new interest I have). Jadon has become more interested in eating foods besides breast milk. He found JOY in eating and playing with his banana.

Day 10

June 16th, 2010
Wednesday

Done with the front yard, on to the back yard for some flower picking. The back yard is abundant in calendula flowers so Jaren and I picked some to dry. Perhaps we'll make an oil, salve, paste, or infusion out of them and use it for varicose veins (that would be mine (o=), chapped lips, wounds, or sore throats. Calendula is a wonderful, beautiful flower that adds a feeling of sunshine and JOY to our back yard.

Day 9

June 15th, 2010
Tuesday

Today I finally finished working on the front yard, at least until the next weed pops up, or the next bush needs a trimming. When we moved in last summer the front yard had lots of weeds and overgrown bushes and needed a good thick layer of bark dust (for weed prevention of course) laid down. I find JOY in having a presentable front yard.

Day 8

June 14th, 2010
Monday

Jadon adores his biggest sister Jenea. They have lots of fun together. It warms my heart and brings me great JOY to watch them interact.

Day 7

June 13th, 2010
Sunday

Jadon often keeps me company in the kitchen. This morning as I was cutting up apples for our morning cannon Jadon found great JOY in getting into the baking cupboard and pouring out the powdered sugar to play in. He's done this a few times; he seems to like the texture of powdered sugar.

Day 6

June 12th, 2010
Saturday

This evening we went to visit grandma and grandpa Graham. Grandma made Jadon birthday cupcakes and we had a "mini" birthday party for him. He sure enJOYed eating his cupcake and we took great JOY in watching him!

Day 5

June 11th, 2010
Friday

Each morning I hold what we call a "family cannon" with the kids each morning, first thing. During this time I peel and cut up apples for the children to munch on. This morning Jadon decided to keep me company on the counter while I worked on the apples. He stole a peeled apple and found great JOY in munching on it. You can see Jude's hand in the back left of the photo grabbing the apple peelings.

Day 4

June 10th, 2010
Thursday

Today grandma Tuttle came over to watch the kids while I attend my toastmasters club meeting. Grandma brought Jadon his birthday gift. You can see how Jadon wants to have nothing to do with it. His siblings were excited. Ahhhh, the JOYS of having your first birthday and having gifts given to you that you don't know what to do with.

Day 3

June 9th, 2010
Wednesday

I find great JOY in watching my young boys play kindly with one another. They are keeping me company while I'm plugging away at the computer.

Day 2

June 8th, 2010
Tuesday

Jadon finally meets his great grandpa McCollum. What a great blessing and JOY it is to have great grandpa live in the area and be involved in our lives.

Day 1

June 7th, 2010
Monday

Today is Jadon's first birthday. Growing up I always planned to have just 3 kids, all girls. God blessed me with 2 girls and 3 boys. Jadon (boy #3) brings me so much JOY!
